Reading
The third grade team will differentiate the reading instruction for all students. This means that each student will be placed in a class that meets his or her needs based on the NWEA given in spring 2009, DIBELS fluency testing, second grade teacher recommendations, and the STAR Reading test given last week. During the first week of instruction (August 31st-September 4th) students will be placed in one of the three third grade classes. However, we will not be sending home their teacher assignments until we've had a chance to get to know and work with them.
